Yoga therapy

Yoga is more than movement—it’s a pathway home to yourself. Rooted in ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience, my approach to yoga therapy blends asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and deep self-trust.

Whether you’re seeking personal healing, guidance in integrating yoga with trauma-informed care, or a supportive space to grow as a yoga therapist, these offerings are designed to honor your unique journey. Here, yoga is about presence, curiosity, and cultivating a relationship with yourself that feels safe, compassionate, and deeply nourishing.

Yoga Therapy for holistic health: Healing Mind and Body

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is a specialized practice that integrates evidence-based approaches with the ancient wisdom of yoga. It goes beyond physical movement to address the mind-body connection, using techniques like

•  Gentle movement and posture

•  Breathwork (pranayama)

•  Mindfulness and meditation

             •  Body awareness

             •  Nervous system tending

While general yoga classes can be therapeutic, yoga therapy focuses on tailoring these tools to address specific challenges with an individualized approach, whether you're seeking relief from stress, anxiety, chronic pain, or simply seeking balance in your life.

Yoga therapy meets you where you are, helping you discover the inner resources to feel better, live better, and thrive. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, or connect to your body in an empowered way, yoga therapy offers a gentle yet transformative path to health.

While I love teaching group yoga classes, I have found that the deepest connection and transformation happens through working with students and clients one-on-one.

Why choose yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy is a one-on-one experience designed specifically for your multidimensional well being. It will look different than a typical group yoga class, including an assessment of your needs and goals, therapeutic relationship, and cultivating your own individualized home practice; it’s about:

             •     Cultivating a deeper sense of self-awareness and connection

             •     Building tools for nervous system regulation and resilience

             •     Restoring peace and ease in your mind and body

Benefits of Yoga Therapy for Mental Health

Yoga therapy can be especially helpful for individuals experiencing:

         •    Anxiety and Stress: Learn techniques to calm the nervous system and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

         •    Trauma and PTSD: Safely reconnect with your body, build resilience, and release stored tension.

         •    Depression: Reignite feelings of joy, energy, and connection through mindful movement and breathing.

         •    Body Image and Self-Esteem: Develop a compassionate relationship with your body by honoring its strengths and wisdom.
