Hi, I’m erica barton, she/her.

Licensed professional counselor, experienced registered yoga teacher, and trauma-informed yoga therapist

What does a session look like?

My approach is informed by somatic therapies and embodiment, integrative yoga therapy, internal family systems (IFS), EMDR, and mindfulness/self-compassion.

Sessions with me will often include a warm and compassionate relational approach, integrated with experiential practices and tools that support emotional healing and cultivating embodied resilience. We’ll go beyond talk therapy to explore healing on a deeper level.

Working from a trauma-informed, liberatory, and integrative approach, I provide a gentle and compassionate space for you to be wholly yourself, even if you’re still figuring out what that means.

I am a body oriented psychotherapist, meditation teacher and yoga therapist, neuroscience and literature nerd, and lover of animals.

I am passionate about creating spaces for deep, transformative conversations and sharing tools to support those on a journey toward self-discovery, embodiment, and authentic living. I work within a feminist lens and practice decolonization in my healing work, while supporting clients who are seeking to break out of the mold of oppressive conditioning.

I have the honor of witnessing tenderhearted individuals doing their best to navigate life’s ups and downs, lifting themselves—and others—through pain, loss, and growth. At times, the weight of the world can feel overwhelming, but I believe healing is an ongoing process, and I’m right here with you every step of the way.

Through our work together, my clients have reported feeling more grounded, empowered, and free. They develop tools to navigate life’s challenges, deepen their understanding of themselves, and move toward a life aligned with their values.

If you are located in the state of Oregon or the state of Wyoming, I’m available for telehealth counseling sessions.

You can be located anywhere for individual yoga therapy sessions online.

I am invested in creating an inclusive environment, one that feels welcoming to all my clients with their own unique mosaic of intersecting identities.

I work with women of all ages and backgrounds—including queer women, trans women, and women of color. My clients are conscious, growth-oriented women who are ready to break cycles of harm, and deepen their self-awareness and self-compassion.

I am dedicated to an anti-oppressive therapy practice, which includes my own continuous learning and un-learning. As humans, we exist within a greater system that influences us at every level of our being- mental, emotional, physical, social, ecological, and spiritual. I approach healing from a perspective that considers all of these levels of being, and I work to create a collaborative experience that empowers you on your journey of liberation and healing.
